AutoLounge, 2007
In collaboration with Simon Overstall
AutoLounge, is an interactive social space used for relaxation and discussion, joining the visiting community with video images of people from the local community. The gallery visitors are tracked by cameras, trigger the display of “avatars” – videos of individuals in the community – mapped onto projected videos of the surrounding urban landscape. An ambient soundscape is generated automatically by pre-determined combinations of sounds of the space.
